Our Advisers are champions and advocates for their advisees.
Every 香港六合彩中特网 student is matched with a trusted teacher-advocate through our Adviser program. Students are paired with Advisers compatible not only with their age and stage of development, but their individual personalities. A student will typically work with the same Adviser for a two-year cycle.
Advisers look at the big picture: their job is to get to know each advisee and to determine next steps for growth both in and out of the classroom. They are also champions and advocates for their advisees, ensuring that they get the support they need to thrive.
Parents are kept up to date on students' character growth through “character report cards” detailing students’ progress in developing all aspects of their characters. Advisers are also parents' first point of contact with the school.
"[Your Adviser] knows how you learn and knows what your needs are, and it really helps to have someone who knows all of that - they can really make your year better."

Customizing for Age and Stage
The delivery of the Adviser program takes age and stage into account. All Advisers have expertise in their assigned age group.
GRADES 7&8 Adviser is scheduled as a class within students' timetables. Students meet with their Adviser during the Personalized Learning Skills (PLS) class twice a week, as well as individually. Advisers use a customized approach to help students develop the skills they will need to personalize their learning, including collaboration, reflection, self-advocacy and self-awareness.
GRADES 9&10 In Grade 9, students enrol in a Learning Strategies credit course which focuses on the development of study skills, time management and self-awareness. This course is taught by students' Advisers. The Grade 10 Adviser program is combined with the Careers course; this approach enables Advisers to work with students as they consider their paths beyond high school.
Throughout Grades 9 and 10, students work with their Advisers to identify areas of strength and discover how they can use these strengths to support their learning.
GRADES 11&12 In Grade 11, students have the option to enroll in an Adviser course which is scheduled into their timetable and earns them a Learning Strategies credit. In Grade 12, students and Advisers meet individually outside of class time or in a scheduled, non-credit transition class which helps students consolidate their study skills.
Advisers guide students through postsecondary decision-making, the application process and the transition to life beyond 香港六合彩中特网 by helping students refine skills such as communication, critical and creative thinking, self-regulation and digital literacy. These attributes are critical as students prepare to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world and workplace.
We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
